This home's bridge was illuminated from a lensed linear in-floor light strip to keep the ceiling clean. From the exterior, warm glows reflect off the wood ceiling from an invisible source. This atrium is illuminated almost entirely from below. The lower level of the atrium is balanced, but purposefully not symmetrical. The stairs are underlit with in-floor point source uplights while the opposite wall is grazed by a continuous in-floor strip detail.
